About the assignment

You will join the Finance Team at GSO MGT in a long-term assignment where you become the hub for the commercial and financial aspects of a portfolio of service projects. The role combines business, finance, and project management, and you will work closely with technical project managers to ensure stable delivery, good profitability, and satisfied customers. You report to the Head of Commercial Project Management and drive your area of responsibility independently but in close collaboration with the rest of the project organization.

Your tasks

In this role, you are responsible for ensuring that the projects have the right commercial setup and financial control throughout the entire lifecycle.

Own the commercial and financial governance of the projects, including issues related to accounting, tax, currency, legal matters, and NCM.

Monitor and improve the financial outcomes of the projects, such as gross margin, cash flow, and capital binding, and act proactively on deviations.

Ensure correct reporting and documentation for steering groups and status meetings, with clear analyses and decision recommendations.

Work with compliance in the projects and ensure that accounting and project processes follow IFRS15, GAAP, and internal guidelines.

Keep the financial registers of the projects updated in relevant systems such as SAP, internal project database, and OnePM.

Initiate and follow up on invoicing according to contracts and project progress, as well as manage guarantees, securities, and project-related bonds.

Support project managers in risk and opportunity work, build a clear reporting structure, and contribute to knowledge transfer between projects.

Travel may occur in this role.

Compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and reporting requirements throughout the project execution.

Effective invoicing and secure management of financial guarantees and securities.

Your profile

Relevant university degree in finance/economics or equivalent.

Several years of experience with commercial responsibility in project or contract-driven operations.

Strong understanding of project accounting, profitability management, and cash flow logic.

Good experience working in SAP and Microsoft environments (especially Excel and Teams).

Meritorious with experience in BI/visualization, e.g., Tableau or Power BI.

Very good English skills in both spoken and written form.
