Strategy & Business Development within Aerospace Systems

Business unit Aerospace Systems is now looking for new members to join the Strategy & Business Development function.

The Strategy & Business Development function within Aerospace Systems is responsible for the Business Unit's overall strategies, the Strategic Business Plan, and overall Business Development. We also coordinate the implementation of certain strategic plans for the future and ensure alignment with Business Area Aeronautics and Saab AB strategies.

Your Role

In your role, you will be part of developing and securing Business Unit Aerospace Systems' long-term strategies. You will have a strong and frequent interface with the entire Business Unit, other Business Units/Business Areas/Operational Country units, as well as external Partners and Customers.

Plan and lead strategic initiatives
Coordination of the Business Unit's overall Product Portfolio
Development of long-term strategies
Develop new long-term opportunities
Strong collaboration with other Business Units and Business Areas within Saab
Keep up with global technology trends and market analysis
Interface with customers, suppliers, and partners

Your Profile

You have a background as a Master of Science in Engineering or a Master of Science in Business and Economics, with several years of experience in similar tasks. You have an analytical approach and can easily connect, maintain, and manage relations with different people regardless of cultural background. For this role, you need to have strong communicative skills and the ability to show enthusiasm and motivate others in your surroundings. You have a leadership style that encourages an open, trustful, and innovative culture. It is required that you have good strategic ability and can build relationships on an international arena. It is an advantage if you have experience from the aviation industry, but it is not a requirement.

What You Will Be a Part Of

Aerospace Systems develops, industrializes, manufactures, and provides technical support to flying airframe assemblies, including systems for the business unit's external civilian and military customers such as Airbus and Boeing. The Business Unit is responsible for the partnership, execution, and further development of the Boeing-Saab T-7 Advanced Pilot Trainer System. The business unit has a total of 700 employees.

This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on current regulations regarding security protection. For positions requiring security clearance, additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
