About the role

As an investigator, you primarily work with unclear and complex insurance cases across all areas of damage – both property and personal injuries. You are responsible for the entire investigation process – from identifying the need for investigation to decision-making and, if necessary, participation in legal proceedings. You work independently but are a support and security for our entire organization.

Your main responsibilities:

• Identify and initiate investigations of unclear insurance cases in various damage areas
• Conduct investigative measures, both physical and digital (e.g., site visits, interviews, document reviews, OSINT, and analysis of digital traces)
• Analyze and assess information, including larger data sets, to determine if the damage is compensable
• Make well-founded decisions in cases and document these in a legally and regulatory compliant manner
• Build and maintain networks with the police, Larmtjänst, authorities, lawyers, and other external actors
• Contribute to the further development of routines, methods, and working practices for handling unclear insurance cases
• Train and support colleagues in investigative issues, fraud trends, and loss prevention work
• Support and collaborate in the company's overall security and compliance work
• Be a central resource in appeals, disputes, and court proceedings

You will be part of a team with other investigators and have close collaboration with our lawyers. Together, you will drive both individual cases and more long-term development and improvement work locally and within the entire Länsförsäkringar group.

Knowledge and qualifications

We are looking for someone with a strong investigative background who enjoys working with complex cases where neither facts nor motives are always clear. The role requires both analytical sharpness and a secure, human presence when meeting individuals who are often in vulnerable situations. You need to be able to combine an investigative approach with a clear customer focus.

We would like you to have:

• Police background or other documented experience in qualified investigative work, for example from the justice system, government, or insurance industry
• Experience investigating corporate-related economic crime
• Experience working with structured investigative methods, interrogations/interviews, and evidence assessment
• Good understanding of fraud crime, preferably with elements of economic crime, insurance fraud, or cyber-related crime
• Very good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish, as well as good ability to communicate in English
• Good IT and systems skills and an interest in working data-driven and analyzing larger amounts of information

It is an advantage if you:

• Have worked with investigations in insurance, banking/finance, compliance, or internal investigations
• Are experienced in working with analytical tools, case management systems, and other digital support in investigative work
• Master additional languages besides Swedish and English

You are proactive and solution-oriented, with a clear commitment to developing working methods and achieving set goals. We expect you to be resilient and accustomed to handling cases where the pace can be high and the questions sensitive.

The position is full-time, based at our office in central Linköping, but you will also work at our office in Norrköping. The position is a permanent employment with a start date by agreement, a probationary period applies. As part of the recruitment process, background checks will be conducted.
