About the job

As an administrator at the aircraft register, you will encounter an exciting and developing everyday life alongside professional and knowledgeable colleagues. You will have extensive external contacts and close internal collaboration to meet society's needs for aviation. The work mainly takes place at our office in Norrköping.

You will

  • process applications for registration and deregistration of aircraft, ownership changes, registrations of rights such as mortgages, etc.
  • perform detailed administrative tasks to a large extent and to some degree without IT support
  • provide information and answer questions by phone and email
  • have extensive contacts with owners, holders, creditors, and others with interests related to aircraft
  • be specialized in aircraft registration with the possibility of eventually performing the same type of tasks regarding vessels.

You must have

  • completed a secondary education with a final grade, vocational diploma, or college preparatory diploma
  • experience working with administrative tasks
  • very good ability to understand and express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish and English
  • good computer skills and good knowledge of the Office package.

It is meritorious if you also have

  • education focused on the aviation sector
  • experience working in the aviation sector
  • experience with customer contacts, both written and verbal
  • experience processing cases at a government agency.

The employment is permanent with placement in Norrköping. We would like you to start on September 1, 2026, or by agreement. We normally apply a probationary period. An employment with us may involve placement in a security class. A security review with a background check according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may therefore be conducted. For some of our tasks in security class, Swedish citizenship is required.

About Transportstyrelsen

Number of employees: Approximately 2000.

Areas of activity: Transportstyrelsen works to achieve good accessibility, high quality, safe, and environmentally friendly transport within rail, aviation, shipping, and road. We develop regulations, grant permits, and monitor compliance. With the help of our registers, we work with fees, permits, and ownership changes.

Locations: We have employees in 12 locations across the country. The largest part of the operations is in Borlänge, Norrköping, and Örebro.

The headquarters is located in Norrköping.

About the Maritime and Aviation Department

The Maritime and Aviation Department contributes to a competitive, environmentally friendly, and safe transport system. We do this by maintaining registers, formulating regulations, reviewing and granting permits, and exercising supervision. We also operate in many contexts on the international stage.

We are located in Norrköping, Gothenburg, Malmö, and Stockholm and have about 300 employees organized into six units and one staff unit.
