Property Economist at Regionfastigheter

Regionfastigheter is responsible for the properties and premises of Region Östergötland, which means that the operational area manages the administration and operation of the properties, as well as the ordering of all renovations and new constructions.

The region's property portfolio includes approximately 697,000 m2 of owned properties and about 130,000 m2 of leased premises. The finance unit is tasked with keeping good order on Regionfastigheter's finances through ongoing monitoring and analysis of the region's property investments, project accounting, and other property economics. The assignment includes promoting good rental pricing principles and monitoring legislation and recommendations to ensure accurate reporting of the properties' and Regionfastigheter's results.

Job Description

We are now looking for a property economist to join our team within the finance unit with experience in property economics. With us, you are an important part of the team within the finance function and Regionfastigheter, where you collaborate closely with property managers, project leaders, and controllers.

You will be an important part of the team working with property economics. The group currently consists of four economists, where the atmosphere is characterized by a willingness to support each other, a strong focus on development, and a high level of service. You enjoy working with continuous improvements, and it is part of your assignment to further develop working methods together with your colleagues. There will also be opportunities to help develop future rental models and work with budgeting and forecasting in the area. Remote work is applied according to Region Östergötland's current guidelines and when the business allows.

The role of the property economist includes, among other things:

• Rental administration.
• Rental billing, both internal and external.
• Quality controls and reconciliations of incoming invoices.
• Local registration in the property database.
• Ongoing bookkeeping (monthly/yearly closing).
• Maintenance and development of the rental module and property database.
• Improvement and development work as well as monitoring trends in property economics.

About You

You have post-secondary education with a relevant focus or have experience that the employer assesses as equivalent. We prefer that you have previous experience working with property economics, and it is important that you have knowledge and experience working within IT systems. You have good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing. Good knowledge of Excel is required. Legal knowledge in property economics is an advantage.

As there are many contact points within the organization, you have good collaboration skills and are receptive in dialogue with others. As a person, you are engaged and service-oriented in your approach. You take initiative, start activities, prioritize and structure your work both individually and together with colleagues to deliver results of high quality. It is important to be a good team player and clear in your communication. The tasks require accuracy and organizational skills.
