At Iris, we work every day to strengthen people's self-esteem, hope for the future, and opportunities to take the next step in their careers. We are now expanding our team in Östergötland County with more skilled and dedicated career transition coaches who wish to work on an hourly basis and as needed.

About the role

As a Career Transition Coach, you support individuals facing changes in their working lives – this may involve unemployment, career transitions, new career paths, or the need for retraining. You work closely with participants through individual meetings, follow-ups, and continuous coaching.

Responsibilities include, in addition to administration:

• Leading individual coaching sessions with a focus on career guidance and change support.
• Mapping competencies, formulating goals, and creating individual development plans.
• Supporting participants in job searching, CV and application work, and educational choices.
• Matching participants' competencies with employers' needs and building networks.
• Collaborating with employers, authorities, and other relevant stakeholders.

You plan and structure your work independently – in close dialogue with participants and coordinators. The assignment also involves travel throughout the county, as coaching takes place at several locations. Therefore, a Class B driver's license is an asset.

Who are we looking for?

We believe you are a person who creates security, engagement, and motivation in your meetings. You are skilled at listening, analyzing, and inspiring – and you are driven by seeing others grow.

You need to have:

• At least 7 years of work experience (full-time).
• At least 3 years of coaching experience within the last 7 years.
• Documented coaching competence and the ability to support people through change.
• Good knowledge of the local labor market and established employer contacts.
• Understanding of social systems such as the Public Employment Service (Arbetsförmedlingen), the Social Insurance Agency (Försäkringskassan), etc.

Relevant education may include fields such as working life, behavioral science, psychology, study and career guidance, social work, or education in job coaching (vocational college, college/university).

Merits if you have experience of:

• Work-oriented rehabilitation.
• Coaching individuals with physical or mental health issues.
• Collaboration with actors in the rehabilitation chain and labor market legislation.

Iris offers both standard and health-adapted career transition services – for established transition organizations, the public sector, and private employers. The support includes personal meetings, activities, and measures tailored to each participant's conditions and goals. We work to strengthen individuals' work capacity and enable paths to employment, studies, or entrepreneurship.

Further information

The position is an hourly-paid employment as needed. Start date is by agreement. Working hours and scope vary based on the organization's needs, and we therefore cannot guarantee a specific number of working hours.
