About the job

As a business developer focusing on digitalization, you will be a key person in capturing the needs and requirements from the business and translating them into improved processes, system support, and solutions. You will work in the maritime and aviation department’s product area, which is responsible for the development and management of the department’s IT solutions. The role also involves close collaboration with the business and our architects to ensure that we develop the right things – in the right way. We work agile.

The Maritime and Aviation Department has many exciting development assignments underway where we combine IT and business development.

You will

  • participate in business development focusing on digitalization within the department and identify and analyze the business needs, see areas for improvement, and propose solutions where IT and process development are combined for increased efficiency
  • be part of one or more cross-functional teams that contribute to developing our methodology and way of working
  • prepare documentation for decisions and requirements specifications
  • collaborate closely with the business, business and IT architects
  • follow up on the effects of implemented changes.

You must have

  • relevant academic education, for example in informatics, economics, computer science, or work experience that the employer assesses as equivalent
  • at least 3 years of experience in business development with IT support
  • experience in business analysis and/or process mapping as well as requirements management
  • good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish and English.

It is meritorious if you also have

  • experience of working within frameworks such as ITIL, PM3, BABOK, or various modeling frameworks for business architecture
  • experience with modeling tools, for example, Enterprise Architect

More information

The employment is permanent with placement in Norrköping. Appointment according to agreement. We normally apply a probationary period. As an employee with us, there is an opportunity to work remotely up to three days a week. The needs of the business and the nature of the tasks will determine if and to what extent this is possible. Employment with us may involve placement in a security class. A security review with a background check according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may therefore be conducted. For some of our tasks in security class, Swedish citizenship is required.

About Transportstyrelsen

Number of employees: Approximately 2000.

Areas of operation: Transportstyrelsen works to achieve good accessibility, high quality, safe, and environmentally friendly transport within rail, aviation, shipping, and road. We develop regulations, grant permits, and monitor compliance. With the help of our registers, we work with fees, permits, and ownership transfers.

Locations: We have employees in 12 locations across the country. The largest part of the operations is in Borlänge, Norrköping, and Örebro.

The head office is located in Norrköping.

About the Maritime and Aviation Department

The Maritime and Aviation Department contributes to a competitive, environmentally friendly, and safe transport system. We do this by maintaining registers, designing regulations, assessing and granting permits, and exercising supervision. We also operate in many contexts on the international stage.

We are located in Norrköping, Gothenburg, Malmö, and Stockholm and have about 300 employees organized into six units and a staff unit.
