Student Assistant for the Student Ambassador Program

Student recruitment is a strategic development area for the Faculty of Science and Engineering. The goal is to increase the number of Swedish and international applicants for courses and programs.

The Student Ambassador Program is a central part of the faculty's work with student recruitment. We are now looking for an engaged student employee to support the planning, implementation, and follow-up of the ambassador program. You will plan the work for our Swedish and international student ambassadors. The workload varies throughout the academic year, with an approximate scope of 15 percent of full-time. Several colleagues in the faculty office work with student recruitment to provide support.

Responsibilities

• Maintain ongoing contact with our student ambassadors, assist with introductions, compensation, and travel bookings
• Schedule the participation of student ambassadors and academic advisors in various student recruitment activities
• Plan and schedule the ambassadors' participation in various internal events
• Follow up on participation at various fairs and events.

Qualifications

To work as a student employee, you need to be enrolled in full-time studies within one of the Faculty of Science and Engineering's educational programs or courses. You must have completed approved studies equivalent to at least 60 higher education credits.

To succeed in this role, you need to have good knowledge of Swedish and English.

We are looking for someone who is engaged, responsive, communicative, and has an easy time building relationships. Furthermore, you need to have a good ability to plan and execute tasks independently. We believe you are meticulous, collaborative, and enjoy administrative tasks.

Experience as a student ambassador or international experience, such as studying or interning abroad, is an advantage but not a requirement.

Employment

The position is temporary according to the “Agreement on Temporary Employment as a Student Employee” with a scope of 15%. Overtime will occur during more intensive periods. Employment period: January 2025 to May 31, 2026.

We are keen to adapt working hours to fit your studies. Therefore, we need to plan working hours together continuously and with good foresight.

To fulfill the role of student employee, you need to be located in Gothenburg, Sweden, and be able to work on-site at the Medicinareberget campus.
