The Department of Development and Governance consists of six units: Legal and Case Management, IT and Digitalization, Communication, Procurement and Purchasing, Security, and Quality.

The department is responsible for coordinating and developing administrative governance, development, administration, and management support, as well as laying the foundation for common systems, structures, and shared working methods/processes. The department monitors the external environment within its areas of responsibility and has an overarching responsibility to coordinate and inspire the development of the administration's operations and the quality of our deliveries.

Job Responsibilities

We are now looking for a Development Leader in Information Security for the Legal and Case Management unit, tasked with coordinating work on information security and information classification. A role where you have the opportunity to make a real societal impact and strengthen our ability to meet future challenges. The unit's mission includes providing support to the board and director, as well as assisting managers and employees with legal expertise within the administration's area of responsibility. The unit is also responsible for supporting and quality reviewing documents for the board and for the development and coordination of the administration's work in information and case management. The unit also contributes to enhancing competence within its areas of responsibility through various training initiatives in the organization, as well as helping to develop working methods and practices in the administration.

The position of Development Leader entails responsibility for coordinating and developing information security work within the administration, focusing on systematic information security work, planning, follow-up, and remedial work. You will provide guidance and practical support to management and employees on information security to ensure that the administration's information and personal data are handled in accordance with current legislation and governing documents.

As a Development Leader, you will carry out information classifications, participate in procurements, analyze system support, and ensure that information is handled correctly. You will be the contact person for the supervisory authority and ensure the administration's incident management. You will implement the NIS2 directive and upcoming legislation in the administration's operations through structured information security management. You are expected to participate in and collaborate with corresponding roles in other administrations within the city and inform and educate your colleagues in the administration.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a relevant higher education degree at least at the bachelor's level in fields such as IT, engineering, or public administration. To succeed in this role, we require several years of work experience in information security.

You have an understanding of the significance of information security and solid competence in and practical experience of information security work. To succeed in the role, you need experience in driving projects and change initiatives, as well as pedagogical skills and experience in conducting training sessions. Additionally, you should have knowledge of the NIS directive and confidentiality legislation.

You work results-oriented and structured, with a good ability to prioritize and deliver solutions among various cases and issues. With a solution-oriented approach, you tackle tasks effectively while also possessing strong administrative skills.

As a person, you are structured and analytical, with a solution-focused mindset. You have a genuine interest in security issues and possess strong communication skills in both spoken and written forms. You collaborate well with others.

Desirable experiences for the position include:

  • Knowledge of MSB's regulations on information security
  • Relevant certification in information security
  • Experience working with management systems in information security
  • Experience working in a politically governed organization.
