Job Responsibilities

We are currently looking for two business developers for the urban area of Centrum/Hisingen, which includes group and service housing as well as daily activities, according to LSS and a short-term unit according to SoL. The management groups consist of a business manager, unit managers, method developers, and staffing controllers.

The business developer is organized under the business manager. The role involves close collaboration with method developers, managers, support functions, and other key roles within the administration for functional support.

As a business developer, you will serve as a support function to the business manager and unit managers within the urban area. You will work with the city's quality management system, which includes handling deviations and feedback, self-assessments at the operational level, as well as systematic follow-up and analysis. You will support the operation in translating political goals into operation-specific goals and work with the follow-up of the urban area's operational plan. Additionally, you will collaborate with business developers in other urban areas and at the departmental level.

Your responsibilities will include process development, where you develop and implement processes to improve quality, efficiency, and user satisfaction. You will ensure that the operation complies with applicable guidelines and legal requirements and contribute to the development of quality indicators and follow-up methods. The assignment includes initiating, leading, or contributing to assignments within business development, such as digitization, welfare technology, and improved working methods. You will provide support to unit managers in their work with business development, including analysis, planning, and implementation of improvements. Collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to promote common development goals is also an important part of the role. Finally, you will be responsible for regularly evaluating and reporting results and successes of the development work to the business manager.

The role encompasses both strategic and operational issues and assignments, making it both challenging and rewarding.

Qualifications

To qualify for the position of business developer, you must have a three-year university or college education in public administration, behavioral science, or another equivalent education that the employer deems relevant for the assignment.

You should have good knowledge of legislation within public administration as well as the Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons (LSS) and the Social Services Act (SoL). It is also advantageous if you have experience working within the Act on Choice Systems (LOV) and public administration.

We are looking for someone who has very good computer skills and previous experience as a business developer, preferably in the public sector. You should have experience working with process-based working methods and quality management, as well as experience in driving change projects and implementing improvements.

You can effectively identify and analyze the core of a problem and suggest possible solutions. You have the ability to see connections and can draw logical conclusions from limited and/or complex information. You can convey information and ideas, both verbally and in writing, and you can adapt your communication according to the recipient, target group, and situation.

You have the ability to work together with others to perform tasks and achieve goals. You understand the common mission, act accordingly, and contribute to the whole. You set clear goals and plan activities and projects in good time. You use your time effectively and work systematically, organized, and methodically. You ensure that work is completed and follow up on results.

Other

The position is placed under the business manager and is partly part of a cross-functional management structure. Travel within the city of Gothenburg may occur.
