Description of Area of Operations 9

Area of Operations 9 (VO9) is one of nine areas of operations and consists of Imaging and Functional Medicine and Care-Related Services. Approximately 350 employees work within VO9.

Imaging and functional medicine includes image-based diagnostics and interventions using radiological and nuclear medicine methods and constitutes a central part of medical diagnostics. At Skaraborg Hospital Skövde, both planned radiological and nuclear medicine activities are conducted during the day, as well as radiological emergency services around the clock. In Lidköping, primarily planned radiological activities are carried out.

The occupational therapy and physiotherapy unit provides rehabilitation for patients at Skaraborg Hospital's outpatient clinics or those cared for in one of the hospital's wards. The unit assesses and treats children and adults who have some form of injury or illness and attempts to meet their needs for specialized interventions.

The hospital pharmacy is an integrated part of healthcare at Skaraborg Hospital and caters to patients being treated at the hospital. The pharmacy provides medications to wards and clinics and conducts extemporaneous compounding of specialized medications. The unit supports healthcare personnel with pharmaceutical expertise, advice, and medication reviews to optimize treatment and reduce risks.

The Medical Technology unit works with medical technology products from a patient safety perspective. The unit is a resource for the entire Skaraborg Hospital and primarily aims to support healthcare operations with everything related to medical technology methodology and equipment.

Social workers address the psychosocial factors surrounding each individual and can have conversations both in inpatient and outpatient care. The unit's staff works for both patients and their relatives.

Dietitians possess a comprehensive competence regarding the relationship between food, nutrition, and health and work together with the hospital's departments and clinics. Nutritional treatment is an important part of medical treatment for conditions such as cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and malnutrition.

Rehabilitation coordinators work to coordinate efforts for patients who are on sick leave or at risk of long-term absence from work.

We work process-oriented and continuously with a strong focus on operational development in collaboration with other operations within SkaS to achieve the best results and develop care. Production and capacity planning are carried out to use resources optimally while also aiming to create an attractive workplace.

Job Responsibilities

As a management strategist, your main tasks will be to provide close support to the operations manager and the area managers in planning, coordinating, developing, and following up on overarching assignments and matters. You will support the operations manager in implementing and ensuring the quality of case preparation within the area of operations. You will maintain collaboration spaces both within and between different areas of operations within SkaS.

The role includes cross-operational planning work, which means:

• Working on the operations manager's behalf.
• Coordinating the strategic and tactical planning processes of the area of operations.
• Coordinating development tasks within the operation.
• Coordinating support resources for the area of operations.
• Supporting and coordinating unit managers in specific issues.

As a management strategist, you will be part of the area management group for VO9 and report to the operations manager. You will perform managerial tasks on behalf of the operations manager.

Qualifications

We are looking for a confident and communicative leader with experience working across operations with planning, coordination, and development. You have previous leadership experience from larger organizations, preferably within healthcare. Personal suitability is highly valued. Interviews will be conducted on an ongoing basis.
