Controller for Social and Employment Administration

Do you want to work with analysis, development, and strategic support in an organization that makes a difference for people every day? We are looking for an engaged controller who wants to contribute to the development of the social and employment administration through qualified financial work and close collaboration with managers and the support and development department.

The role of the controller is a broad and varied assignment. You will work with standard controller tasks such as:

  • Budget work and follow-up
  • Forecasts and financial analyses
  • Reporting and decision support for managers and committees
  • Providing qualified support to managers in financial matters
  • Monitoring goals, volumes, and cost developments within the organization
  • Contributing to the development of financial management, working methods, and routines
  • Preventive work to detect welfare crimes
  • Collaborating within the municipality on financial issues

You will support development work based on statistics and finance, analyzing trends and producing documentation that supports the organization’s improvement efforts. You will contribute financial expertise in procurement issues and contracts, and collaborate with management and all managers to provide support in financial matters and contribute to strategic decisions. You will work together with our quality developer in our goal-setting efforts. The position also involves close cooperation with the support and development department.

Qualifications

You have a relevant university degree in economics. You have several years of experience working as a financial controller or economist, as well as experience in budget work, follow-up, and financial analysis. You work easily in various operational and financial systems and have excellent skills in Excel. You have a good ability to express yourself well in Swedish, both verbally and in writing. Experience from municipal or other public sector work is an advantage.

You work independently, take responsibility for your tasks, and drive processes forward while being able to collaborate easily and build trusting relationships. You are confident in your expertise and can explain financial issues to managers and employees without an economics background in a pedagogical manner. Furthermore, you are development-oriented with a strong interest in contributing to improvements that strengthen the organization and the municipality's common goals.

Good to know

Interviews are scheduled for the following days: February 3 and the afternoon of February 4. In-depth interviews will be held on February 9 (reserve time February 10 in the morning). Selection may occur continuously during the recruitment process.
