Are you looking for an exciting and meaningful job this summer? The support services administration in Malmö city is now seeking engaged and curious employees who want to make a difference for the residents of Malmö.

In your role within social psychiatry, you will carry out planned support measures and activities, which are conducted together with the user. The support measures, which are motivational and supportive in nature, are based on each resident's individual needs, interests, and abilities. You are expected to collaborate with the user's contacts as well as with internal and external partners. The role also includes handling medication, personal care, laundry, cleaning, and cooking, as well as social documentation.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is over 18 years old and has completed and approved high school education, preferably from the health and care program or the child and leisure program.

If you have further education in psychiatry, studied to become a social worker, or have another behavioral science education that the employer finds equivalent, we consider it an advantage. Additionally, training in addiction, MI, or conflict management is also advantageous.

We prefer candidates with experience in social psychiatry and/or working with individuals with substance abuse issues. You should have an interest or experience in working with people with physical or intellectual disabilities.

It is important that you can express yourself well in spoken and written Swedish.

About the Workplace

Our operations belong to the authority & social psychiatry department within the support services administration. The units have a collective responsibility for municipal joint efforts aimed at adults within social psychiatry as well as authority exercise within LSS and social psychiatry. The department is responsible for support, housing, and employment as well as LSS and SoL measures. The support can vary depending on individual needs and wishes according to granted assistance. We offer, among other things, housing support which is an intervention according to the Social Services Act (SoL) and is based in the person's home. The target group for housing support within social psychiatry is individuals with mental or intellectual disabilities who live in their own homes and have difficulty managing daily life.

For those with significant and extensive care needs, we have Nobelgården, which is a special accommodation according to SoL spread over 2 floors and located in northern Malmö. The accommodation is aimed at older individuals with mental disabilities and some users with cognitive impairment/dementia.
