Job Responsibilities

Do you want a fun and meaningful job this summer? The Support Services Administration in Malmö is now looking for engaged and curious employees who want to make a difference for the residents of Malmö.

Your mission is to help and support the residents with care, daily activities, leisure, and cultural activities so that users can be as independent as possible and live the life they desire. Your tasks include, for example:

• activities inside or outside the residence
• care and personal hygiene
• preparation of or support during meals
• delegated healthcare tasks
• social documentation

A common aspect of all work with us is to meet each user individually so that they receive the support, service, or care they are entitled to. In some residences, care interventions are extensive, and in some, challenging behavior may occur.

An important part of the mission is to enrich the user's leisure time with meaningful activities based on their needs, abilities, and interests. Together with your colleagues, you motivate, support, and assist users in their daily lives, as well as interpret and clarify communication.

The work is scheduled during the day, evening, weekend, and night/waking night. In some of our operations, there are also on-call assistants at night.

Qualifications

To work with us, at least a high school education is required, and you must be at least 18 years old.

Qualification requirements for support assistants: completed and approved studies from the care and nursing program or the child and leisure program. You may also have other education that the employer assesses as equivalent.

Qualification requirements for support pedagogues: ongoing or completed studies at a university (60 credits) or vocational training (200 credits) in areas such as disability, pedagogy, social work, or behavioral science.

Your educational background and the recruitment needs of the organization will determine whether you are employed as a support assistant, support pedagogue, or care assistant.

A common requirement for all three job categories is that you must be computer literate and able to express yourself in Swedish both orally and in writing.

Experience in psychiatry and various pedagogical methods is meritorious, as is a B driver's license for a manual transmission vehicle.

With us, it is important that you have a good view of people, a respectful approach, and good pedagogical skills. Since the concept of “together” permeates our work, you need to be able to collaborate well with others.
