About the Role and Your Responsibilities

The position involves teaching students in need of special support.

You will teach music and an additional subject. The activities are conducted in dedicated facilities where the team has the opportunity to provide students with instruction in a calm, safe, and well-adapted environment. This position will be based in several units within KSU (Municipal Special Education Group).

As a teacher in a special education group, you work to provide students with the learning and care they need to develop according to their own conditions. You are responsible for creating a developing, meaningful, and positively accessible learning environment for students where they can reach their full potential.

You have the ability to design instruction in accordance with curricula, subject plans, and current knowledge requirements. You take responsibility for and have insight into students' results and needs, and structure and adapt your teaching to create a safe and adequate learning environment. You involve the student in the planning and develop the student's ability to learn, both independently and together with others.

The position also includes collaborating with external actors, such as social services, Child and Youth Rehabilitation (BUH), Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (BUP), among others.

We Are Looking for You

We are looking for a certified teacher. You have qualifications in music and an additional subject. You preferably have experience working with students with neuropsychiatric disabilities and students in need of special support.

To thrive in this role, we believe you are development-oriented, see the needs of each individual student, and have a good sense of joy and laughter. You can create situations where students succeed, and your view of students is characterized by respect and the belief that all students can and want to develop. You are empathetic, have good judgment, and can set boundaries. In your role, you are secure and recognize the importance of being a positive adult role model. You want to work with all the tasks included in the teaching assignment and be part of the students' school day throughout the entire school day.

Furthermore, you have a holistic perspective on the student's development and use relational learning as a pedagogical tool. You can work independently and take initiative. In your interactions with students and guardians, you are clear and responsive to students' needs.

About the Workplace

The Municipal Special Education Group (KSU) consists of six smaller units geographically located in different parts of Lund. Currently, the operation includes six teams with a total of 34 employees and is now expanding with an additional teacher.
