Job Responsibilities

We are now looking for a special educator who is interested in a new assignment with us at Alléskolan!

You will work as a special educator at the middle school level. Your responsibilities include teaching students, both individually and in groups, as well as school development within student health, including staff guidance. You will work towards the development of learning environments and conduct pedagogical investigations, design adjustments and action plans together with educators, and collaborate with guardians and external actors such as BUP and habilitation. You will be part of the student health team together with special educators, school nurses, speech therapists, counselors, psychologists, and school management.

Qualifications

You who are applying have a degree in special education. Previous experience as a teacher and special educator is an advantage. You have insight and knowledge in school development and the school's governing documents and can apply them in your daily work. You have acquired knowledge and experience in guidance/training, student health work, and working with documentation - pedagogical investigations, extra adjustments, and special support/action plans.

You are creative and can adapt your approach and your pedagogical methods and techniques based on the individual student's needs or the needs of the student group. We prefer that you have experience working with middle school students and students with NPF. It is essential that you master good Swedish in both spoken and written form.

About the Workplace

Alléskolan is a middle school under construction in the Hyllie/Vintrie district. The school is gradually expanding to become a fully developed grades 7-9 school with 420 students by the school year 2026/2027. Currently, the school consists of three 7th-grade classes, and in the school year 2025/2026, the school will have three classes in 8th grade and five classes in 7th grade. The construction of the school is in full swing and is planned to be completed for occupancy in June 2025. The school has five floors, large bright premises, and a large schoolyard, as well as a separate sports hall right next to it. Around the school, a green area with trees, bushes, and grass is planned. Alléskolan strives to be a forward-looking school with the aim of preparing our students for the future. We will strive for innovation in teaching, as well as promote critical thinking and problem-solving skills. We want community and belonging to reflect the school's culture, and we will actively work to create an inclusive environment where students and staff feel welcome to be part of a larger whole. In line with global efforts for a more sustainable future, Alléskolan takes its responsibility by integrating sustainability issues into teaching to give students courage and agency in this area. The school encourages students to be aware of environmental issues and to actively participate in initiatives that promote a sustainable lifestyle, both within and outside the school walls. Alléskolan collaborates with other actors in the local area as well as throughout Malmö. We are part of SSPF, School Football Against Racism, and Malmö City Collaboration. Hyllie is a green district with high demands for sustainability and a district with both housing and offices. In Hyllie, there are close green areas with Hyllievångsparken, services with hotels, conference facilities, shopping centers, restaurants, hairdressers, gyms, swimming pools, and libraries. In Hyllie, the communications are excellent with proximity to both train stations and bus connections with both city buses and regional buses.
