Job Responsibilities

We are looking for someone who wants to teach wood and metal crafts for grades 4–9! In this position, you will only teach in small groups and be part of a cohesive team. You will work closely with the textile crafts teacher to meet the needs of students, providing them with challenges and opportunities to develop their creativity through the crafting process. Currently, the position does not include mentorship.

• Create good relationships through curiosity and trust with students and colleagues, have high expectations and confidence in students' abilities, and provide encouraging and supportive interactions.
• Develop your teaching through active learning with colleagues, sharing your experiences and supporting and developing everyone's teaching through a pedagogically challenging approach.
• Provide varied instruction with a range of teaching methods, challenges, and adaptations based on each student's conditions, ensuring a strong connection to students' experiences and curiosity, and demonstrate good correlations between your teaching strategies and your students' results.
• Work with student influence in your teaching so that students can develop and own their learning process, providing feedback that moves them forward in their learning. All teaching should aim at each individual student's progression and results.
• Create a safe and permissive climate in the classroom through clear structure.
• Work to develop teaching based on scientific principles and proven experience.

Qualifications

You are a certified teacher with qualifications to teach wood and metal crafts for grades 4–9. Previous teaching experience is an advantage. About the Workplace

Munkhätteskolan is a K-9 school and a special school for grades 1-6 with a total of 720 students. 150 fantastic employees work with us, making Munkhätteskolan the best school for every student. We work systematically to provide the best conditions for learning. The school has a well-staffed student health team consisting of 2 counselors, 3 special educators, 2 school nurses, and career counselors. Our focus is on preventive and health-promoting work, as well as clear routines and processes in remedial actions. Our student health work begins in the classroom. We have a well-functioning structure and work based on organization/group and individual needs. EHM, the student health meeting, is an important forum where teams, school management, and the student health team meet to highlight challenges and plan interventions through collaboration among various competencies and professions.
