We are a smaller independent high school located in central Skåne, with good communication links. We offer introductory programs and vocational training within the construction and civil engineering program, focusing on construction vehicles and the vehicle and transport program with specializations in passenger cars and transport.

We have around 100 students training with us, and we believe that the smaller community, designed with trust and relationship-building methods, makes us stronger together.

We are now looking for a new employee for our transport specialization. Initially, it is a temporary position but may be extended.

In your role

The position primarily involves teaching students in grades 2 and 3 with both practical and theoretical instruction in core subjects.

You will organize, execute, and evaluate your teaching both independently and together with other vocational teachers within the transport specialization. You will also actively assess goal fulfillment and coordinate with the mentor, which is then communicated to the student. You are expected to actively participate in the joint team work and collaborate with all staff, where we together push boundaries.

Qualifications

You should be confident in your role as a teacher and have solid knowledge of the school's mission, governing documents, and curriculum. We prefer that you have a teaching license, have started your vocational teacher training, or have an interest in pursuing teacher training if an extension becomes relevant.

You should have the ability to work with digital resources and possess relatively good computer skills. Furthermore, you should understand individual differences and based on that, be able to adapt and develop the teaching to provide students with the best conditions for success, as well as have the ability to include students in the instruction.

The position requires B, C, CE licenses and updated YKB. It is also advantageous to have instructor qualifications for ADR, Risk Education 1, and YKB, as well as industry experience as a professional driver or traffic teacher for heavy licenses.

Employment

The position is initially a temporary position during the spring term. The extent of the position will be discussed during the interview. The extent can vary from 60% to 100%.

We are affiliated with Almega's independent school agreement with Sweden's Teachers.
