Personal Assistant for Bromölla Municipality

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a personal assistant, you will work both at home and in other environments where the user spends time. Your task is to help the user live as active and independent a life as possible. This may mean changing workplaces during the workday.

You assist in making everyday life function and support with all ADL, which includes personal care, medication management, home maintenance, healthcare visits, and participation in daily activities and social events.

In some cases, the user may have no spoken language, which means your task also includes helping the user in all forms of communication with their surroundings.

In some homes, there are animals, for example, cats.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with the right personal qualifications to meet the individual in their daily life. You have a strong interest in working with people and need to be able to work closely with the user on personal hygiene, for example.

You meet others in a positive and respectful manner, have an easy time collaborating, and are flexible in your work. You should be able to work both independently and in a group, follow routines, decisions, and action plans - always with the user's best interests in focus. It is essential that you can work with both women and men.

You have a good command of the Swedish language in both speech and writing. Since documentation is part of the job, you need good communication skills and computer proficiency.

We offer all new hires a good start through our introduction program, which includes medication training and shadowing.

Solo work as well as day, evening, night, and weekend shifts occur.

We prefer candidates with experience in similar work and/or education in care. Experience with low-arousal approaches and AAC is desirable. A B driver's license is preferred.
