Examination Administrator at the Department of History

The Department of History at Stockholm University offers education in history at the undergraduate, advanced, and doctoral levels.

We have a wide range of courses and programs. The department also offers a cultural studies program and a publishing program. The Department of History has a vibrant research environment organized into various profile areas. The department has about 70 employees, of which around ten are administrative staff. We are now looking for an examination administrator with good knowledge of organization and structure in university and departmental environments.

Job Responsibilities

As an examination administrator, you will have overall responsibility for scheduling and administering the department's written exams. The role includes managing communication with the university's central examination administration as well as with course coordinators and teachers.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Plan and schedule examination sessions in TimeEdit Exam.
  • Manage students' examination registrations in Ladok.
  • Submit documents for each examination to SU's Examination Service according to their deadlines.
  • Administer digital written exams in Inspera.
  • Handle correspondence with SU's Examination Service, course coordinators, and teachers regarding written exams.
  • Be responsible for archiving and releasing public documents related to written exams.

You are expected to plan and execute tasks independently based on given guidelines in collaboration with other staff. The workload varies and can be high at times. Therefore, it is important to be able to prioritize during peak periods. Other administrative tasks may occur.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has a strong interest in working with education at a university level. You enjoy providing good service and like having many points of contact. In this role, it is important to be engaged, solution-oriented, and meticulous.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary degree.
  • Experience in study administration work.
  • Good ability to express oneself verbally and in writing in Swedish and English.

Desirable

  • Experience with study administrative systems used at Stockholm University, such as Ladok, TimeEdit, and Inspera.
  • Basic knowledge of government archiving routines.
  • Master's degree in history.

About the Employment

The position is part-time and temporary until 2028-01-31. Start date is 2026-03-01. Stockholm University applies individual salary setting.
