We are looking for an experienced consultant for an assignment in nostro reconciliation and position management in foreign currency. The role is central to ensuring accurate reconciliations, stable liquidity, and efficient management of international payment flows. The position involves independent work with significant responsibility and many points of contact, both internally and externally.

Responsibilities

• Manage foreign currency accounts: reconcile internal bookkeeping against external account statements.

• Ensure liquidity is available where needed.

• Manage costs, interest, and the opening and closing of accounts.

Investigate

• Handle discrepancies between internal and external reconciliations.

• Investigate missing or incorrectly booked transactions.

• Analyze interest costs and manage related errors.

Prepare & Test

• Test systems and contingency procedures internally and with external banks and clearinghouses.

• Update and test continuity plans and other emergency procedures.

Collaboration & Communication

The work involves extensive contact via chat, email, and phone with:

• internal back office groups

• treasury

• finance departments

As well as ongoing dialogue with external banks and clearinghouses via email and SWIFT.

Requirements for the position:

• Relevant education

• 3–6 years of experience as a consultant in the field

• Have participated in several similar assignments with different clients

• Experience with IntelliMatch or similar reconciliation systems

• Documented experience in nostro reconciliation

• Good knowledge of SWIFT

• Very good Swedish and English, both spoken and written

• Experience from larger financial organizations is a plus

Responsibilities

• Primarily works independently and takes responsibility for own assignments

• Is a role model for junior consultants and can provide support in knowledge transfer
