HR Consultant to the HR Unit
Stockholm – our capital city with millions of dreams, expectations, and ambitions. We work for everyone living here today and in the future. Now we are looking for someone who wants to think big, new, and differently with us – for the people of Stockholm.
Welcome to us
The Education Administration in the City of Stockholm is Sweden's largest administration with approximately 16,000 employees.
The administration is responsible for the operation and development of the municipality's more than 140 primary schools and about 30 secondary schools, as well as managing city-wide issues within preschool in collaboration with the district committees.
The Department of Personnel and Competence Supply serves as a clear partner to the core operations and is responsible for the administration's work with employer issues. We are currently looking for a colleague to the HR Unit, one of the department's four units. The HR Unit is tasked with providing consultative support to managers on personnel issues, overseeing the administration's overall work environment efforts, and conducting training in the personnel area. The HR Unit consists of 25 employees and is led by the HR Manager. HR consultants are divided into four teams led by HR coordinators. Our current HR consultant is moving internally to HR coordinator with us, and therefore we are looking for an HR consultant for the HR Unit.
Your Role
In your role as an HR consultant, you will be offered a varied and exciting assignment where you will work with operationally close personnel issues and primarily support principals and their management teams in their operational, personnel, and employer responsibilities.
The tasks are broad with a focus on labor law areas such as law and contract interpretation, union contacts, rehabilitation, and complex personnel matters. We work with a consultative approach, and the foundation is that everyone takes clear responsibility for their own area of operations while constantly considering the whole and helping each other as needed. In addition to the operational support for managers, you will also participate in and drive strategic development work together with colleagues and design and implement training initiatives.
Your Competence and Experience
For this position, you are required to have:
- a university degree from a human resources program or another education that we assess as equivalent (requirement for labor law from university)
- at least 3 years of experience in broad, qualified HR work with a focus on either labor law or rehabilitation
- experience working with union parties
- an excellent ability to express yourself in speech and writing
Your working style is characterized by a problem-solving analytical ability where you actively and independently work to achieve good results. To succeed in the role, you need to be proactive, persistent, and adaptable to changing conditions and requirements. You will have close collaboration with colleagues, managers in the operations, and other stakeholders where your ability to create and maintain good relationships is of utmost importance. In your work, you also act with a high degree of personal maturity and integrity.
We Offer You
With us, you will have the opportunity to join a team of highly qualified employees where you will contribute your experience, but where you can also benefit from the knowledge of all your colleagues. We have a workplace characterized by competence, an open climate, and security where we work independently but also take responsibility for delivering good work and results as a group. You will have the opportunity to learn new things, develop, and truly make a difference for our students in schools through your work. We are located in pleasant premises in Kungsholmen (5 minutes from T-Centralen).
Welcome with your application!
