About the workplace

32nd Garrison Battalion is a support function to the Helicopter Wing and part of the combat unit 3rd Air Wing. The battalion includes functions for logistics, healthcare, and training and has its main operational location in Linköping. The battalion consists largely of civilian employees and fulfills its tasks across the entire conflict spectrum.

The 32nd Garrison Battalion is a workplace under development where new functions, units, and tasks are added over time.

Main tasks

As an internal support officer at the 32nd Garrison Battalion, you will handle and administer various types of tasks. Since the battalion is under construction, you will initially manage and develop several different work areas that you may later hand over to newly hired employees. You will participate in planning the operations, be responsible for certain security issues, handle and administer logistics matters, create documentation for orders to subordinate units, and follow up on ongoing operations and results. You will work on both short and long time horizons and perform administrative tasks to support the battalion leadership in their work. Other tasks such as training initiatives, participation in the combat unit's exercise and operational activities, and general staff work may occur. Travel may also be part of the job.

Qualifications

• High school diploma.
• Good ability to express oneself in speech and writing.
• Very good ability to work independently in several subject areas and develop one's own tasks.
• Work experience in one or more of the areas: security service, execution, logistics, or planning.
• Basic knowledge of the Office suite.

Meritorious

• Completed military basic training.
• Experience working in the Armed Forces, preferably within staff sections 2-6.
• Experience with the PRIO/SAP system.
• Other experience in similar work, preferably within public administration.
• Driver's license B.

Personal qualities

We are looking for someone who can work independently and has a good ability to structure their work. You see what needs to be done within your area of responsibility and develop operations in consultation with the battalion leadership. You have good communication and collaboration skills and build and maintain trusting relationships. You see the whole picture and can work with a wide variety of tasks, even outside your main area of work, and can make thoughtful priorities.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

The employment is a permanent position that begins with a six-month probationary period.

Salary: Individual salary setting according to the Armed Forces' agreement.

Start date: By agreement.
