Admissions Secretary for the Education Office
Are you a service-oriented person who enjoys variety and many social contacts? Then you could be our new admissions secretary at the Education Office!
Who are we?
The Education Office is part of the municipality's education organization and works with issues related to preschool, primary school, and secondary school. With us, you will be involved in creating the best possible conditions for conducting a good educational operation in the municipality. The Education Office works with investigations, documentation, and analyses for both the Education Committee and operational and school management.
The Admissions Office
The Admissions Office in Norrköping is one of two offices in Östergötland and handles the secondary school admissions in the Eastern collaboration area, which includes the municipalities of Norrköping, Söderköping, Finspång, and Valdemarsvik. Our mission includes admissions to municipal and independent secondary schools in the aforementioned municipalities, except for Valdemarsvik, which lacks a secondary school.
Your Responsibilities
As an admissions secretary, you will work with tasks related to students' secondary school choices, follow-up on admission statistics, and legal issues regarding admissions. The work is done using computer-based support systems and in close collaboration with engaged colleagues. You will be welcomed into a cheerful unit that values humility and good camaraderie.
In your work, you will have many different contacts, including career counselors, principals, students, and parents, as well as other admissions offices across the country.
The job requires high standards of accuracy, integrity, and legal security, and the intensity of the work varies significantly throughout the year. Summer vacation is determined by the admissions year and allows for four weeks of vacation shortly after the final admissions are completed on July 1.
Who are you?
We are looking for someone with a university degree in behavioral science, social science, career guidance, or other education that the employer deems equivalent. We would also like you to have experience working with case handling, administrative authority, or other qualified administrative work. Experience in public administration is also viewed positively.
Furthermore, we see that you have very good computer skills and the ability to easily navigate different systems. We would prefer if you have experience with programs such as IST Administration and the Office suite, as a large part of your work will be conducted in these systems. However, the greatest emphasis is placed on general system familiarity, where you can quickly adapt to administrative system work.
You collaborate well with others as well as independently, with a strong sense of responsibility for your work. You communicate clearly, adapt your communication to the audience, and ensure that messages are conveyed effectively. Additionally, you are structured, meticulous, and place great importance on achieving set goals. You enjoy providing good service to others and can do so even under periods of time pressure.
You have good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form.
Welcome with your application!
