The Joint Management Administration consists of the areas of Support and Development, Strategic Urban Planning, HR, Communication, and Planning and Follow-up.

The administration's mission is to lead, support, and coordinate the entire municipal organization on behalf of the municipal council. This is done by focusing on the needs of the customer and having a holistic view and common working methods. We are a learning organization that promotes innovation and learning from both the environment and each other.

The area of strategic urban planning has the task of creating the best conditions for establishments and attractive living environments together with residents and businesses, where safety, integration, and sustainability are important cornerstones. The operations consist of three units: detailed planning, land and exploitation, and strategy and development.

JOB DESCRIPTION

As a strategist in traffic and mobility in Motala municipality, you will develop traffic and mobility issues from a long-term perspective, and you will also be involved in ongoing work with investigations, projects, and practical implementation issues. We actively work to increase the share of sustainable travel in the municipality and strengthen the image of Motala municipality as one of Sweden's leading cycling municipalities, and we are looking for someone who wants to inspire and contribute to achieving this.

Through discussions and exchanges in various cross-administrative working groups, you are responsible for developing guiding documents to support and provide guidelines for future construction and exploitation from a mobility perspective. You will have a lot of contact with politics, business, and citizens as you work on behalf of the municipal council. In Motala municipality, we are close to each other, both within and outside the municipal organization, and can utilize each other's competencies. As a strategist in traffic and mobility, you will be part of local and regional networks and projects at various levels, where you are expected to clearly monitor and promote the municipality's interests for optimal growth.

We are looking for a knowledgeable, outgoing, and committed strategist in traffic and mobility who is the municipality's specialist regarding strategic and overarching traffic and mobility issues.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with relevant academic education in traffic/urban planning or equivalent education deemed comparable by the employer. You have experience working in the field, and it is an advantage if you have experience in project work since the position is both independent and requires constructive collaboration with many contact points.

To succeed in your mission, you take responsibility for achieving results from analysis to concrete proposals and have the ability to plan and prioritize your work. You are a strategic person with drive and initiative, work systematically, and can handle multiple issues simultaneously; sometimes conditions change at short notice, which means you also have the ability to adapt to that.

Since the work involves oral presentations and written summaries, you have good communication skills and can express yourself well in Swedish, both spoken and written. Experience and understanding of working in a political organization is an advantage.
