The Gothenburg Primary School Administration is one of the largest school administrations in Sweden. We are responsible for the city's municipal schools from preschool class to grade nine, adapted primary school, culture school, and after-school care. The administration has 138 municipal primary schools where nearly 47,000 students attend school every day. The entire administration has about 9,700 employees who work together to develop and take care of the operations - together we pave the way for the school of the future.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Welcome to school area 7 in the city center, where Landalaskolan 1-6 adapted primary school, Mossebergsskolan F-2, and Guldhedsskolan F-9 are located. In our school area, about 850 students attend, and about 125 employees work. We have a good collaboration between the schools and benefit from each other's strengths and competencies; we support and help each other with both strategic and operational work in our operations. We have a joint student health team in the school area that includes the principal, deputy principals, counselors, school psychologists, school nurses, and special educators.

Landalaskolan is centrally located on a hill above Kapellplatsen and Landalatorg. Currently, we have 22 students and will increase to a maximum of about 30 students by HT-25. The surroundings are calm, and there are green areas within a short walking distance from the school. At Landalaskolan, we know that children do right if they can and learn from succeeding.

As a special teacher, you work to teach and challenge students to reach their full potential and knowledge development through your teaching. Your task is to design, adapt, and implement teaching to meet the specific needs of the students and to guide student assistants in their support work. As a special teacher, you are responsible for students' knowledge development by mapping their pedagogical and didactic needs and translating that into pedagogical practice. You are part of a work team with four special teachers/class teachers where you co-plan, collaborate, implement, and follow up on teaching. Since the school was newly established in August 2024, we want you to be an active participant in the development of the operations through your special teacher competence. We work collegially to continuously develop teaching and assessment competence at the school and see the relational perspective as a natural approach in all meetings with our students.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is a certified primary school teacher and a certified special teacher. Experience in teaching in adapted primary school, grades 1-6 is an advantage. It is also advantageous if you have broad subject competence, preferably including a practical aesthetic subject in your certification, experience working with AAC, and have a relationship-based approach. Teaching takes place within subjects and/or subject areas.

You are confident in your teaching role and have a commitment to developing and shaping the pedagogical operations based on students' needs and conditions, as well as having a good ability to build trusting relationships with both students and their guardians. You enjoy collaborating in a team but also taking your own initiatives to drive the work forward. You share your own knowledge and experience but are also curious to learn from others. You lead and distribute work in the classroom with clarity, structure, and good planning, keeping a cool head and a warm heart with boundaries and hugs.

You take responsibility for your own and the shared tasks with the best interests of the operations and students in focus. You show respect and consideration for those you meet in your professional role and are solution-focused with a relational and salutogenic approach.
