JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

One of our preschools, Örlogsvägen, is located in Nya Varvet. Here, there are four age-divided departments, called home bases. Our other preschool is located in Långedrag, close to nature and the sea. Here, there are two home bases, one for younger children and one for older children. In both preschools, we work based on the Reggio Emilia philosophy, and in our changing learning environments, we encourage children to explore their surroundings. We have our own studio, various activity areas, and a large yard.

As a preschool teacher, you are responsible, together with your team, for developing the department's activities in line with the curriculum's goals. The best interests of the children are always in focus, and we create equity by starting from each child's needs and conditions.

The work with the educational environment is incredibly important to us, and we are constantly working to develop the preschool's environments both indoors and outdoors to provide children with the opportunity to explore, develop, and learn together, both independently and in groups.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for collaborative preschool teachers who are curious about the Reggio Emilia philosophy and enjoy working with competent children, allowing them to create their own theories and hypotheses. You will lead the team together with a preschool teacher colleague in educational discussions and focus on how the indoor and outdoor environments can best challenge children to seek knowledge and achieve the goals in the preschool curriculum and the preschools' own objectives. You will work with your colleagues to drive and develop the work according to the governing documents. You will be working with pedagogical documentation.
