Job Responsibilities

At Fjärding Adapted Primary School, grades 1-9, the job responsibilities consist of creating a safe and educational environment for our students together in a team where learning and development are at the center. In the role of special teacher/teacher with us, you are not only a safe and skilled educator, but you are also a leader of your team, where everyone in the team plays an important role in the student's learning. Together with your colleagues in the class team, you will be ultimately responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating teaching at both group and individual levels based on the students' needs and conditions.

We are looking for someone who, together with engaged colleagues, wants to help develop the operations at Fjärding Adapted Primary School. We constantly learn from and with each other, where we have the student in focus. In our daily work, we challenge and stimulate students' curiosity, development, and desire to learn.

We are a multicultural school that places great importance on understanding between people and sees diversity as a strength, where working with students with multiple disabilities is perceived as something positive.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is a certified teacher for grades 1-6 or a special teacher with a focus on intellectual disabilities or another degree that we deem equivalent. It is an advantage if you are familiar with AAC and sign language and are motivated to learn more about sign communication. Since digital tools are an important part of our teaching, you need to be familiar with ICT both in teaching and as a working tool.

We are looking for someone who is comfortable in a leadership role and can create clear conditions in the classroom with a focus on students' learning and development. You want to be part of a learning organization focused on school development and collegial learning. You take great responsibility for developing in your profession and see your work as an opportunity to contribute to maximum learning for the students, yourself, and your colleagues.

You have an inclusive perspective and the ability to see how the individual student's needs can best be met. You see development work as a natural part of the teaching job and want to collaborate with the school's other educators. You work long-term and build trust with both your colleagues and the students and guardians. With a relationship-building approach and clarity, you show the way forward for the entire team and the students. You are creative and stimulated by challenges, flexible, and easy to collaborate with.
