About the Nature Management Administration

With the goal - We develop world-class competence for a sustainable future and the good life, the Nature Management Administration drives education within upper secondary school, adapted upper secondary school, adult education, and higher vocational education. The Nature Schools in Svenljunga, Sötåsen, Uddetorp, and the Biological Higher Vocational School serve as competence centers for the growth and development of the green industries. Together with the business community and researchers, the administration drives energy projects and experimental activities at the forefront in the schools. The Nature Management Administration is part of the Västra Götaland Region.

Description

As a teacher at the higher vocational school, you are responsible for planning and conducting teaching for students in the subject area of agricultural animals at a post-secondary level.

The teaching is conducted with a focus on quality and relevance to the labor market. You collaborate with all functions at the school as well as the relevant industry regarding education, which includes marketing and recruitment of students. The assignment includes teaching, planning, and grading.

Responsibilities

Teaching courses in the field of agricultural animals in the programs Agrotechnician and Hoof Care Specialist.
Responsibility for the students' LIA (Learning in Work) regarding follow-up and industry contacts.
Some mentorship for students, including development discussions.
Being involved in the school's continued development of operations and teaching.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is an educated animal agronomist, farm manager, agrotechnician, or equivalent post-secondary education and who has practical experience working with agricultural animals.

You should have a strong interest in teaching at the Higher Vocational School and work to ensure that all students have the opportunity to develop according to their goals. You are flexible, goal-oriented, and take the initiative to collaborate with colleagues.

We are looking for someone who is development-oriented, detail-oriented, and enjoys being in a changing everyday life with students and colleagues. You have good theoretical and practical knowledge in agriculture. You are characterized by openness, lack of prestige, and a strong willingness to develop and collaborate.

Knowledge in food production and experience in teaching are advantageous.

A B driver's license for manual transmission is required for the position.

Conditions
