This is your mission
An important task within the Security Police's IT and technology operations is to enhance the ability to communicate technical developments to the agency's employees. This is done by creating templates for and processes around the publication of instructions, manuals, and news articles. As a technical writer, you play a central role in compiling, structuring, and creating/presenting/publishing primarily technical information for the agency's employees. The work is carried out in close collaboration with teams, product owners, and managers within the organization.
The work involves:
- Analyzing and developing the content and structure of technical information
- Developing templates and processes for information management
- Creating user-friendly manuals and instructions based on new and existing technology
- Writing articles for internal communication
- Producing various types of presentation materials
- Close collaboration with teams, product owners, and users to create high-quality and user-friendly products
Your placement will be at the headquarters in Solna, and the work is performed on-site, which means you cannot work remotely. Travel within Sweden may occur.
The qualifications we are looking for
- Post-secondary education in IT, or other relevant experience deemed equivalent by the Security Police
- Very advanced skills in the Office suite
- Experience in communication in the form of manuals or instructions with images and text, particularly technical ones, or experience in creating and publishing articles with similar content
- Good ability to communicate in Swedish and English, both orally and in writing
The position requires Swedish citizenship.
Applicants may also have competencies that add breadth and complementary perspectives. If you can contribute with any of the following, it is meritorious:
- Experience in Knowledge Management within ITIL
- Experience working in an organization with high security requirements
- Experience as a web editor

The Security Police places high demands on security and confidentiality, therefore we expect you to have a high security awareness.
Employment conditions
Swedish citizenship is a requirement, as employment with the Security Police involves placement in a security class. A satisfactory result in the security screening with a background check, conducted in accordance with the Security Protection Act, is also required for employment.
This is a permanent position that begins with a six-month probationary period. We apply individual salary setting. Employment also entails an obligation to be placed in wartime.
