Stureplansgruppen was founded in 1996 to deliver world-class guest experiences and includes several of Sweden's most acclaimed restaurants, bars, and hotels in its portfolio. Some of them are Chez Jolie, Nour, Ekstedt, L’Avventura, Bank Hotel (Small Luxury Hotels), Lucy’s Flower Shop (The World’s 50 Best Bars 2022), Röda Huset, and Gamla Riksarkivet. Stureplansgruppen has a turnover of 1.6 billion SEK and operates in Stockholm, Gothenburg, Åre, and Visby.

We are now expanding our finance department and are looking for a proactive Financial Controller.

As a Financial Controller, you will have your own company responsibility and work comprehensively to ensure accounting, analysis, and results. You will create and build reports, streamline processes, and drive various projects forward. At Stureplansgruppen, you will work in an entrepreneurial and fast-paced company in growth. Our office is centrally located in Stockholm, and you will report to the Accounting Manager.

Your main responsibilities

• Ensure monthly results and internal allocations including Intercompany reconciliations
• Prepare monthly and annual financial statements, income tax, and VAT declarations
• Work with liquidity and cash flow
• Build reports and implement internally
• Continuously develop and improve processes within finance
• Eventually involved in the EU's new directive for sustainability reporting CSRD
• Own ongoing accounting for smaller companies and support the rest of the finance department with ongoing accounting as needed

Your profile and background

We are looking for someone with several years of experience in accounting or auditing with very good knowledge in the field and the ability to independently handle monthly and annual financial statements, analysis, and reporting. We see that you have experience from the hospitality industry, such as hotels and restaurants, with a strong understanding of our operations. You are used to a fast-paced environment that is flexible and changing, where we always put the guest experience at the center.

As a person, you are responsible, self-driven, and have a proactive approach. You are curious and forward-leaning with a desire to create, develop, and streamline. You are skilled at driving various projects and making things happen. At the same time, you have a very good analytical ability and a burning interest in systems, creating reports, and you are excellent at Excel. You are a team player with a positive and engaged attitude but also straightforward and honest in your communication.

You have a degree in finance from a university, college, or vocational school and are fluent in Swedish, both spoken and written.
