Our Workplace and Mission

Region Stockholm Gotland consists of ten units, divided into sections that collectively are responsible for achieving the unit's goals.

Our mission is to connect employers with job seekers, prioritize those who are far from the labor market, and contribute to increased employment. We also work with labor market-oriented rehabilitation through guiding and job preparation measures.

We are now looking for employment officers focused on working with job seekers and SIUS (Special Introduction and Follow-up Support).

The focus of the positions may vary depending on the needs of the operation and can change over time, both based on individual development opportunities and the organization's requirements.

Job Description

Our mission is to handle cases in a legally secure manner, which requires accuracy and adherence to the regulations that govern our operations and our mission. You can manage both positive and negative decisions in a correct and respectful manner. You have good communication skills both verbally and in writing, can explain regulations, and adapt your language to the situation. You find it natural to meet job seekers and employers in physical meetings as well as by phone or through digital meetings.

You will work with

  • Informing and communicating about the Employment Service's mission, services, and rights and obligations to job seekers and employers.
  • Assessing job seekers' needs for support, defining goals, establishing action plans, and following up to ensure they are relevant.
  • Assessing employers' needs for support through close collaboration with them.
  • Providing basic guidance on the labor market, educational pathways, and managing and delivering relevant information to internal and external parties.
  • Documenting information securely and acting according to relevant regulations, agreements, and processes.
  • Gathering and assessing necessary information to decide on measures or programs.

Focus on SIUS (Special Introduction and Follow-up Support):

is a program for job seekers with disabilities who need individual support to find, get, and keep a job. The work involves close collaboration with job seekers as well as with employers in both the private and public sectors, often on-site at workplaces. This means that you will travel by public transport or by car in your role. You need to be prepared to travel throughout Stockholm County.

You have the ability and interest to work with outreach, i.e., to independently contact employers and advocate for your job seekers and the support that the Employment Service can provide.

Our Offer

The position is a permanent full-time employment that begins with a six-month probationary period. Start date by agreement. Placement in the following locations: Stockholm Globen, Kista, Haninge, Nacka, Huddinge, Hallunda, Södertälje, and Solna.

Basic Qualifications

  • University education of at least 180 credits (120 points according to the old system) or you have been employed as an employment officer at the Employment Service and are assessed to have good prospects of meeting today's requirements for employment officers
  • At least two years of work experience, totaling at least 50 percent work over two years
  • Very good knowledge of communicating in Swedish, both spoken and written, as well as good reading comprehension

Other Merits for the Position

  • Experience working with labor market-oriented rehabilitation
  • Experience working with individuals with various disabilities
  • Experience in authority exercise
  • Experience collaborating with other actors, such as authorities, municipalities, complementary actors, and healthcare institutions
