At Ward 13, we work in new, fresh facilities with both acute and planned operations.

We receive acute and trauma patients directly from the emergency department around the clock, as well as patients coming from home for planned surgeries. Here, you will have a stimulating and varied job with acutely ill patients in fast flows and patients in planned cancer care, where you can make a difference for those affected by colorectal cancer.

The Surgical Operations area, with over 300 employees, is a university healthcare unit (USV unit) where care, research, education, and the implementation of new knowledge are our core missions.

Job Description

As a nursing leader, you will work according to step 5 in the competence ladder for nurses in Region Stockholm, 80% clinically active with your own patient responsibility and 20% with surgical nursing development.

In your daily work, you will be a role model and support for the entire care team, focusing on quality and patient flow.

You will have a leading role in the department and be responsible for nursing development in close collaboration with the unit manager. The four nursing leaders in the Surgical Operations collaborate in a network, and you will also work in teams outside the operational area.

You will work based on evidence and ensure that updated guidelines are in place.

You will work scheduled hours with weekend duties.

Qualifications

You are confident in your professional role as a nurse and enjoy leading others. You continuously maintain your specialist knowledge and are a knowledge resource for others.

You take the initiative to lead operational development and improvement work.

You have good collaboration skills, are attentive, and can communicate constructively.

Being a nursing leader means you have real and formal competence according to step 5 in the competence ladder within Region Stockholm. Formal competence means you meet one of the following:

• Licensed nurse with a master's degree
• Specialist nurse

And:

• Clinical experience in relevant specialty/emergency care (at least 5 years)
• Care pedagogy/Supervisor training in health and medical care (7.5 higher education credits)
