The Government Offices of Sweden is seeking an engaged and qualified officer with several years of experience working with legislation and the application of regulations within physical planning. In the role of officer, your tasks will primarily consist of working with legislative issues related to the Planning and Building Act and related regulations. Your tasks will include driving and coordinating politically prioritized processes within physical planning and construction. You will also prepare and present decision-making materials for the political leadership, handle legal issues and appeals within the Planning and Building Act as well as planning and building permit matters.

Furthermore, you will collaborate with colleagues within the Government Offices, state authorities, and municipalities, and contribute with analyses and solutions in complex legal matters concerning physical planning and environmental issues.

Your Background

We are looking for someone with a law degree and at least five years of experience in qualified legal work. You have experience from a state authority or municipal administration, preferably within the Government Offices. You have documented experience in applying the Planning and Building Act, including handling appeals and building permit matters, as well as a good ability to express yourself in speech and writing.

If you also have good knowledge of the Environmental Code and good skills in English, we consider this an advantage.

Other

The position is a fixed-term employment until June 30, 2025, with the possibility of extension. Start date is March 1, 2025. Interviews will be conducted on an ongoing basis. A security clearance will be conducted before a decision on employment is made.
