About the Role
We are now looking for someone to work as an HR Specialist in occupational health and safety at Securitas Sweden. You will be based at one of our larger offices in Sweden, such as Stockholm, Gothenburg, or Malmö.
The HR Specialist in occupational health and safety provides proactive, strategic, and operational support to the organization's managers in ensuring a well-functioning work environment and health work.
In your role, you will contribute to the development, implementation, and follow-up of the organization's strategies and plans in the area of occupational health and safety. Based on the organization's needs, you will support managers in continuously improving and developing the joint work environment efforts.
Furthermore, you will contribute to developing, implementing, and following up on the organization's work environment efforts, as well as implementing policies, guidelines, processes, and programs. You will also train managers in the area of occupational health and safety.
You are an important colleague in Securitas HRBP & Work Environment unit, led by the HR Manager Sweden, consisting of 9 colleagues located throughout Sweden. You will also have a large internal network of colleagues within HR, both generalists and strategists, spread across the country.
Main Responsibilities
- You systematically analyze existing or potential risks within the work environment area and coordinate measures to minimize risks going forward
- Drive development, implement, and follow up on the organization's strategic work environment efforts, including communication, and implement overarching processes, policies, and routines for work environment, health, and safety
- Participate and support in operational work environment projects and activities and drive the implementation of HR-related operational decisions with a focus on work environment
- Develop, analyze, present, and follow up on KPIs, statistics, and reports within the work environment area to relevant stakeholders
- Develop, anchor, and follow up on work related to accidents and incidents
- Collaborate with employee organizations and safety representatives in the work environment area
- Be a spokesperson in Safety Committees within your area of responsibility
- Set requirements and be the main contact for the organization's occupational health service
- Act as a specialist resource in larger investigations and/or crisis management within the work environment
- Provide expert support during authority contacts and participate in inspections
Requirements

You are fearless and willing to challenge established behaviors and patterns, and you are eager to try new solutions to achieve goals. You are also structured and analytical. The work involves travel throughout the country.
To succeed in this role, we believe you have:
- Academic education in occupational health, safety, and health, or other relevant education assessed by the employer
- Work experience in systematic work environment efforts or equivalent with both a strategic and operational focus, including the development of guidelines and governing documents
- Previous experience of independently working with work environment issues, including union collaboration
- Experience in operationally applying applicable work environment legislation in practice through managers
- Previous experience of independently working in and driving projects in a data-driven manner
- Good knowledge of ISO 14001 and ISO 9001, preferably also ISO 45001
Meritorious
- Experience in “24/7/365” operations
- Experience in larger organizations with both collective workers and white-collar employees

- The position is a full-time permanent position. We apply a 6-month probationary period.
For employment within Securitas Sverige AB, it is required that you have approved grades from high school in Swedish and English and are approved by the County Administrative Board for employment in an authorized security company according to the Act (1974:191) on security companies (the application is made by Securitas). Depending on the position, security clearance according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may also be relevant. To investigate and assess whether you meet the requirements to be approved according to each regulation, a background check will be conducted. The assessment concerns legality, suitability, reliability, loyalty, and any vulnerabilities. Information obtained may come from you, open sources, or authorities. We apply a comprehensive assessment when evaluating suitability for each position.
Salary and employment conditions are based on collective agreements between the employer organization Security Companies and the trade unions Unionen and Ledarna, as well as individual agreements.
