Our client is a leading real estate company focusing on owning, managing, and developing properties with social utility purposes in the Nordic region as well as rental apartments in Sweden. Through close collaborations with municipalities and authorities, they create building rights that support social infrastructure. With its headquarters in the heart of Stockholm, offices across Sweden and in Helsinki, and an experienced and dedicated staff, the organization is characterized by flexibility, short decision-making paths, and a genuine responsiveness to tenant needs.

This is a consulting assignment with employment at SJR, with the intention of being hired (Hire Purchase) by our client after 6 months. For the right person, there is also the possibility of being hired directly by our client.

About the position

As an accountant/company economist with us, you will be responsible for accounting and reporting for several companies within our group. You will be part of a dynamic team of 18 people and report directly to our accounting manager. The role involves close collaboration with the finance department, management, project leaders, and other key personnel within the organization.

Main responsibilities

• Perform ongoing accounting, account reconciliations, and accruals.
• Be responsible for monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Prepare annual reports and handle submissions to the Companies Registration Office.
• Manage income and tax declarations as well as reporting to the Tax Agency.
• Participate in property and company transactions as well as audit work.
• Work on continuous improvements within processes and systems.
• Document and develop routines and experiences within the department.

Suitable background

We are looking for someone who has:

• An academic degree in finance or equivalent.
• Experience in qualified accounting work and reporting.
• Good knowledge in preparing annual reports and tax declarations.
• Experience working with improvement work related to processes and systems.
• Experience in property and company transactions is an advantage but not a requirement.
