Cold Kitchen Chef/Cook (Hot Kitchen) Wanted for Our Delicatessen Department

Are you working in a restaurant, large kitchen, or school kitchen and want to try something new - cooking in a store with a focus on sustainability and economy?
Are you creative, structured, and a salesperson with a customer focus? We are now looking for a cold kitchen chef or cook (preferably with experience from a larger kitchen) who wants to take on our hot kitchen!

Responsibilities

• Preparation of food/meal boxes according to season, trends, and demand.
• Processing with sustainability in mind.
• During peak sales, participate in catering production.
• Serve customers in the manual delicatessen.
• Purchasing and planning.
• Self-control and food safety.

ICA Kvantum Vallentuna is located in the center of Vallentuna, north of Stockholm. We are a successful Kvantum store with a wide range of products, good offers, knowledgeable, and service-oriented employees. The store has a strong focus on our fresh produce departments. We are open from 7 AM to 10 PM, and approximately 25,000 customers pass through our checkout each week. The store has an annual turnover of about 320 million SEK.

We are looking for someone who:

• Has worked as a cook or cold kitchen chef in a large kitchen, school kitchen, or restaurant.
• Has a focus on customer service and sales.
• Has experience working towards a budget.
• Enjoys working in a team, as the hot kitchen is part of the delicatessen department.
• Has a great interest in food and is creative.
• Works efficiently and in a structured manner.

Requirements:

• Documented professional experience in cooking.
• Ability to work in a team and in a fast-paced environment.
• Good computer skills (Experience with ICA systems is a merit but not a requirement).

Scope: Full-time approximately 38.15 hours, working hours Mon-Fri, daytime. A 6-month probationary period applies.
Salary: According to collective agreement, with an addition for responsibility for the hot kitchen in the department.
