The Swedish Migration Agency aims to enhance its ability to prevent and counteract abuse.

One step in this direction is the establishment of a national control unit. The national control unit is located within the national operational department and belongs to the section for information analysis. The national control unit is a new entity, but the main tasks already exist today at the operational analysis unit, with the same organizational placement.

In the role of operational expert, you will among other things prepare documentation and participate in process analyses, follow up on results and improvement measures to create robust processes. You will collaborate with others in developing risk-based models and selections. The role may also include leading meetings and assignments within and outside the agency and preparing management for meetings.

At the national control unit, the Swedish Migration Agency coordinates its work against incorrect payments, organized crime, labor market crime, human trafficking, and threats to Sweden's security. Through operational analysis, the unit contributes to analyzing existing abuses in the agency's processes, identifying risks and vulnerabilities, and proposing measures to minimize or eliminate these vulnerabilities. The unit will further develop risk-based models and selections for investigation/mapping and analyze the results for the development of the agency's control work. The unit will collaborate with internal and external parties. Within the operational analysis unit, there is currently expertise in analysis, inter-agency collaboration, information gathering and processing, as well as the development of information management systems.

You who are applying have:

• A university degree in data/statistics with a social science or political science orientation or other education combined with relevant and current experience in the field that the employer deems suitable
• Experience and good knowledge in handling data sets from various registry systems.
• Experience and good knowledge in Excel.
• Swedish citizenship.

A security clearance with a background check according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) will be conducted. Based on this, there is a requirement for Swedish citizenship. The employment is contingent upon a successful security clearance.

It is advantageous if you have:

• Experience in processing, transforming, and visualizing data.
• Experience in processing and visualizing statistics.
• Experience in formulating queries against SQL databases.
• Good knowledge of the operations of the Swedish Migration Agency.
• Experience working at the Swedish Migration Agency.

Employment type: permanent with a six-month probationary period

Location: Sundbyberg, Norrköping, Malmö, or Gothenburg
