Telenor is now looking for a Senior Financial Controller

We are seeking an engaged, structured, and analytical Senior Financial Controller with experience in group accounting to join the Financial Controller team.

What you will do

As a Senior Financial Controller, you will encounter many exciting and challenging accounting issues and projects. You will also work closely with colleagues within Telenor's Scandinavian cluster, as well as cross-functionally across the organization's various divisions and other finance departments. If you enjoy a business in constant change, you will thrive with us! You will belong to a group of eight people, all based in Stockholm.

Main responsibilities

Participate in and drive both national and international projects and initiatives
Ensure that controls and processes are in place for flows to support business areas
Proactive and continuous development and streamlining of processes and routines
Advisory in complex accounting issues
Responsible for quality assurance of group accounting performed by our SSC
Monthly, quarterly, and annual closing

Who are you?

We are looking for someone who is accustomed to working independently in a structured and meticulous manner. While you have an eye for detail, it is also important that you understand how to see the bigger picture. You take responsibility for deadlines without compromising on delivery or quality and enjoy working in a changing environment and testing new ways of working.

We see that you have a high level of engagement combined with strong analytical skills. You are a person of high integrity and care for your colleagues by being attentive. The position involves many social touchpoints, so you should enjoy collaborating and have excellent communication and social skills. Working in a diverse and international environment stimulates you, and if you have previous experience from an SSC, it is strongly meritorious, as well as documented leadership skills.

You also have:

A degree in economics
Several years of work experience with a focus on qualified accounting
Good knowledge of Swedish accounting standards K3 and IFRS
Very good skills in Excel and experience in handling large amounts of data
Experience in group accounting
Experience in driving change and process development
Experience in larger companies with complex operations and system environments
Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
