JOB DESCRIPTION

Target Group

The labor market unit serves individuals receiving social assistance who have difficulties entering or remaining in the labor market. This may be due to various forms of ill health, previous substance abuse, or other social challenges. Our mission is to find the shortest path to self-sufficiency, which we achieve through various interventions ranging from individual conversations to job-seeking groups and internships.

We are now looking for an instructor who can support participants both practically and theoretically; conduct individual conversations with participants, lead group activities and workshops, and work towards the labor market. Participants have full-time engagement at our premises where work training takes place until external planning is established. The practical part includes planning and distributing tasks among participants; you will follow the workgroup and often instruct the tasks to be performed, so a practical approach and good physical condition are necessary.

Tasks may include green maintenance work for the municipality's departments, relocations within municipal operations, and recycling of furniture in our recycle program, etc. The variation includes observing and documenting participants' abilities, testing various work tasks, collaborating with businesses and the Employment Service, and matching participants with job opportunities.

Networking is crucial for finding potential employers, maintaining contacts with them, and matching participants with possible employment. We also work to find work training and internship placements and plan for study visits.

QUALIFICATIONS

Post-secondary education relevant to the assignment is required, along with a strong interest or experience in craft professions. You need practical skills for work training to be effective and a sense of responsibility in planning multiple activities simultaneously. You should be proficient in the Swedish language, both written and spoken, as documentation is an important part of the job.

It is essential that you are self-assured, able to take responsibility for task completion, and capable of leading participants. Part of the job involves working to enhance motivation and fostering social interaction among participants. You should have a well-developed ability to communicate clearly and directly and be responsive to changes. Knowledge of motivational interviewing is an advantage.

We believe that the meeting is important, to see the participant's abilities and create inspiration for change towards the labor market. You should have knowledge and experience working with individuals with mental health issues, functional variations, and comorbidity. Personal maturity is required to meet individuals with varying levels of ambition and background. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

The daily placement and starting point are in the Labor Market Unit's premises in Rydsgård. As an instructor, you will move between several different workplaces and therefore need a manual driving license (B).
