A site that is one of the largest facilities in the Nordic region for the development, manufacturing, marketing, and sales of paint for indoor and outdoor environments for consumers, customers, and industry. The business mainly consists of two companies. Akzo Nobel Industrial Coatings, which is a leader in the sales and manufacturing of paint and coatings for industrial surface treatment for wood products such as windows, doors, floors, and furniture. Some of the customers include IKEA, Montana, Inwido, and Tarkett. The other company, Akzo Nobel Decorative Coatings, develops, manufactures, distributes, and sells paint, varnish, filler, and wood protection products to professional painters and consumers. The portfolio includes well-known brands such as Nordsjö, Sadolin, and Cuprinol. At the site, 560 proud employees work to meet our customers' needs for high-quality products and services.

We are now looking for summer temp workers for our production facility to cover for our regular staff during the summer months of June - August. Most of our available positions are within production and warehouse, but we also have positions in quality control (QC), R&D, and administration. What will you be working with?

Production

Our greatest need for summer temp workers is within our production. The work may involve working as a process operator, machine operator, or production staff. Common tasks include: Mixing (batching) of raw materials, monitoring machines, filling products into packaging, and driving forklifts.

Having a forklift license and experience in similar tasks is advantageous, as well as knowledge in chemistry. If you do not have a forklift license, AkzoNobel will cover this cost. The work within production is scheduled for daytime, evening, and shift work. As a person, you should be practical and enjoy teamwork but also be able to take your own initiatives to solve problems.

Warehouse

We also have a great need for summer temp workers within our warehouses. Common tasks include: order picking, receiving goods both internally and externally, color mixing, and loading goods. A forklift license and experience in similar tasks are advantageous. The work within the warehouse is scheduled for both daytime and evening. As a person, you should be practical and enjoy teamwork but also be able to take your own initiatives to solve problems.

Laboratory Services

The greatest need for laboratory staff is within our quality control (QC). For our laboratory services, we are looking for someone who has started a university or college education in, for example, chemistry or chemical and process engineering. The work can be scheduled for both daytime and evening. We value personal qualities such as teamwork ability, independence, and flexibility.

Administration

The administrative positions include Customer Service, Transport Planner, and Production Planner. The work is primarily scheduled for daytime. These positions require good communication skills and a high sense of service. Experience in similar tasks and knowledge of SAP is highly advantageous. We prefer that you have started university or college studies and have a couple of years left to study.

Other areas may also become relevant.

Who are you?

We have high demands for personal qualities, meaning that you as a person are responsible, meticulous, independent, and enjoy working in a team. You are attentive, have a positive attitude, and high integrity. In addition, we also see that you meet the following:

• Very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
• You should have at least a high school diploma, preferably with a natural or technical focus.
• You need to be available for work between June - August. There is no possibility for leave during the summer temp position.
• You need to have a B driver's license if you are to drive a forklift.
• You need to be over 18 years old to work with us.

Additional Information

The positions are for summer temp work during the months of June – August. Working hours may vary between:

• Day shifts (7:00 AM - 3:45 PM, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM)
• 2-shift (6:00 AM - 2:45 PM and 2:00 PM - 9:56 PM)
• In rare cases, 3-shift (6:00 AM - 2:15 PM, 2:00 PM - 10:15 PM, 10:00 PM - 6:15 AM).

The majority of the positions are scheduled Monday to Friday. All of our positions are located at our site just outside Malmö.

Mandatory introduction and training will take place before the start of employment during May-June. As part of our work for a drug-free work environment, we drug test all new employees regardless of position.
