Job Responsibilities

We perform operation and maintenance of street lighting throughout the city of Malmö and are now looking for someone who wants to work as an electrical installer with us. You will work in a team consisting of 12 electrical installers and 5 technicians. The role of electrical installer includes the following tasks:

operational measures such as series and point replacement of light sources
cable fault finding and repair of cable faults
replacement of lighting poles
service of worn or damaged installation parts
fixture replacement
some new installations
cable routing
inventory of control centers
measurement of release conditions

You will work outdoors year-round and perform a large part of your work in traffic environments with a lift; the work is done both alone and in teams depending on what the job requires. The position also involves work with traffic signals.

On-call duty is required.

Qualifications

For the position, you need to have a high school education in the electrical program or equivalent and have previous experience with electrical work and installations. You should feel a sense of responsibility for your work, be communicative, and have a desire to provide good service in contact with customers and colleagues. You recognize the importance of following workplace safety regulations and are systematic and structured in your work approach, with the ability to find solutions to arising situations.

Since we work outdoors year-round, it is important that you have the willingness and ability to work in outdoor environments throughout the year, where a large part of the working time involves performing work in traffic environments.

For the position, you need to have a B driver's license for a manual transmission vehicle, good computer and system skills, and good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. Experience in operation and maintenance work regarding lighting installations is considered an advantage. It is positive if you have a C driver's license, Work on the Road certification, Hot Work certification, lift training, and ESA 19.
