About the assignment

Our client is looking for an accountant for a consulting assignment at Bjuv municipality. The assignment is set to begin in January (as soon as possible) and will last for 3 months with a possibility of extension. The position is 100% on-site in Bjuv, with the possibility of remote work by agreement with the financial manager.Your responsibilities

The finance department plays a central role in the municipality's development. The department ensures that the municipality's budgeting process is effective and efficient, that the accounting is accurate, and that good and transparent financial management, planning, and monitoring of the municipality's operations are ensured. Currently, two finance assistants, one administrator who is also a purchasing and procurement coordinator, and three controllers work in the department in addition to the financial manager.

Your main responsibilities:

• Work on the annual financial statements
• Reconciliations and general tasks commonly found in a municipal finance department

Your qualifications

• Solid experience in accounting and hold a relevant degree
• Preferably have a background in auditing
• Fluent in Swedish, both spoken and written

The nature of the job requires you to be structured, well-planned, and to deliver on time and with quality. You are proactive in your areas of responsibility and your pedagogical skills will be beneficial in your communication with colleagues within the municipality.
