The Surgical Outpatient Clinic in Malmö is part of the Operations Area (VO) of surgery and gastroenterology, which includes surgical and gastroenterological activities in Malmö and Lund, as well as surgical activities in Landskrona. Within the VO, we provide acute, basic, and highly specialized care with wards and outpatient clinics in Malmö and Lund. Patients are referred here from the entire Southern Healthcare Region and also from other parts of Sweden.

At our surgical outpatient clinic in Malmö, you will find a collective competence of various professional categories. In addition to medical secretaries, we have doctors, nurses, nursing assistants, administrators, social workers, physiotherapists, and receptionists. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We welcome a medical secretary to our team at the referral center! Do you enjoy planning and organizing your work with a focus on maintaining high delivery quality? Then we believe you have good conditions to thrive with us.

At the referral center, your tasks will involve organizing and structuring the administrative work, which includes handling referrals, managing 1177, monitoring, booking appointments for new visits, patient phone calls, and writing medical records in the form of referral assessments. We also receive care guarantee cases and handle these.

The role of the medical secretary is evolving, and Region Skåne is preparing for the implementation of the comprehensive digital platform Skånes Digitala Vårdsystem (SDV), which will replace several of today’s medical record systems. We are open and humble about the continued development this entails and would like you to contribute your skills and qualities to the change work.

QUALIFICATIONS

We welcome you who have an education in Health and Medical Care Administration of 80 KY credits or 400 YH credits, or equivalent medical secretary training, as well as good knowledge of medical terminology. You must have a good command of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. It is an advantage if you have previous experience in the profession, in administration, and experience in handling the systems Melior, Pasis, and the scheduling system Medinet.

It is important that you enjoy having a lot to do, have varied tasks, and like to have phone contact with both patients and various entities within healthcare.
