Job Responsibilities

Do you want to make a difference? We are looking for someone who is committed, attentive, and has the ability to create security and good relationships. You will work with a smaller group of students in an individualized teaching environment, where you will have the opportunity to contribute to the students' development and learning.

The educator will contribute with their special competence and focus to ensure that the school meets the goals and intentions of the curriculum. The educator will carry out the educational activities at the school in collaboration with the work team based on governing documents. The goal-oriented work that the educator conducts should promote each student's development and learning. The educator works independently and makes decisions in consultation with the teaching primary school teacher and other relevant staff within applicable guidelines.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with at least 120 credits relevant to the school's needs and curriculum. This could be in areas such as pedagogy, gender studies, or languages. Previous experience in similar work is an advantage.

To succeed in this role, we are looking for someone who:

Has a strong commitment, is driven and innovative, and takes initiative
Is structured, consistent, and clear in their pedagogical work
Has the ability to create good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues

About the Workplace

Augustenborg School is a F-9 school in Malmö's southern inner city with about 750 students. We are a multicultural school with students and staff from all corners of the world. Here, there are curious students with a great desire to learn. At our school, we work in teams with competent and driven colleagues. You will receive a close-to-operation school leadership that expects you to take responsibility for your own, your colleagues', and the entire school's development work. We work together, and collaboration is a key competence at our school. The school has structures for planning, implementation, and evaluation of teaching. We are working to develop genre pedagogy and value-based work throughout the school. Right now, we are developing our student- and teacher-related health work. Part of this is to increase the special education competence at the school.
