Welcome to Sorgenfriskolan!

We are now looking for a special educator who is interested in a new assignment with us at Sorgenfriskolan!

As a special educator with us, you will work to create conditions for accessibility, participation, and inclusion for our students. You will primarily do this by:

• identifying and adapting the interventions that should be implemented to facilitate learning for our students
• proactively identifying and removing barriers in various learning environments
• conducting pedagogical assessments/investigations
• driving development work together with school management, development groups, and colleagues

You will also conduct training sessions and continuously supervise pedagogical staff. You will collaborate closely with your colleagues, school management, and other staff at the school. You will document your work continuously. You will be part of the school's student health team that meets regularly and works cross-professionally.

Qualifications

You who are applying have a degree in special education. Previous experience as a teacher and as a special educator is an advantage. You have insight and knowledge in school development and about the school's governing documents and can apply them in your daily work. You have acquired knowledge and experience in supervision/training, student health work, and working with documentation - pedagogical investigations, extra adaptations, and special support/action programs.

You have good didactic and pedagogical skills and can therefore also lead and organize the work towards the student/students to create a conducive learning environment throughout the day. Based on evidence-based research, we see that you can develop your work, and we want you to be familiar with and have experience working with relevant digital tools. Of course, you have a professional approach and work towards good relationships with our students, their guardians, and all your colleagues at the school.

About the Workplace

In the heart of Malmö, Sorgenfriskolan is located in a calm and pleasant environment. The school has two to three parallel classes with grades F-9 housed in a beautiful 1920s building. Approximately 580 students attend here. The school works with collegial learning in subject groups and has a particular focus on value-based work. Teachers work in teams around each grade. We work hard to provide a good learning environment for the students. The school day should be characterized by a permissive climate with great respect for one another. Here, the student's development is at the center, and we start from the belief that everyone can succeed if we support them in the right way.
