Job Responsibilities

As a communicator in the cultural administration's communication department, you will be part of a team responsible for all communication efforts initiated and delivered both internally and externally. The tasks include both practical and strategic work.

In the communication department, we have a proactive editorial approach focusing on stories with text, images, and video material. We utilize digital platforms and communicate on social media to reach the residents of Malmö with our cultural activities.

The role also involves providing qualified and operational communication support to the various departments within the administration. As a communicator, you will be responsible for basic communication as well as various projects. You will particularly focus on communication for the Malmö Art Museum. In the spring, you will also be part of the team working with Malmö Sommarscen.

The work may involve occasional evening or weekend work.

You will report to the Head of Communications, Anna Nystedt.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a relevant university degree in communication and several years of experience in both operational and strategic communication work.

You are independent and work well in collaboration with others, as you will be working closely with colleagues in the department as well as managers and employees in the administration. You have the ability to create networks, both internally and externally.

In a changing environment, it is important to listen, interpret, and be able to act quickly and wisely in communication. Therefore, you are proactive, positive, and attentive as a person, as well as structured and capable of handling multiple events and projects simultaneously.

You are also experienced in working with text production and images, preferably video. Experience with social media is an advantage. You have the ability to create stories; to write and speak so that people understand what you mean, both in Swedish and sometimes in English. Additional languages are a plus.
