Assignment

The HR unit is responsible for a personnel and payroll policy that contributes to good service for the municipality's 23,500 residents and a sustainable working life for 1,650 employees. The unit consists of eleven dedicated employees, including payroll consultants, payroll controllers, and HR partners. Together, we support 85 managers both operationally and strategically through common, clear, and transparent HR and payroll processes.

In the role of payroll consultant, you will work with the entire payroll process and perform ongoing tasks such as payroll and employment administration, fee management, contract interpretation, LAS management, payroll and tax calculations/checks, certificates, and internal and external statistical reporting.

As the closest expert in your field, you will work from a consultative approach, providing advice and support to managers based on applicable laws and agreements, as well as the municipality's governing documents in the payroll area. You will also have daily contact with our employees and respond to questions regarding their employment and payroll payments. Most of the work handled by the unit is done in the personnel system Heroma, but also in systems such as QlickSense, KIA, Daedalos, ReachMee.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with post-secondary education focused on payroll, such as a YH education, or equivalent work experience and skills deemed relevant by the employer. You should have experience in payroll administration, preferably within municipal operations where you are familiar with municipal collective agreements. You are also accustomed to working in the payroll system Heroma.

As a person, you are structured, meticulous, analytical, and have a good numerical sense. Furthermore, you have a very good ability to build and maintain trusting relationships with colleagues, operations, and other partners. Your flexible ability will also come in handy when delivering smooth solutions in a changing everyday life. You value good collaboration where everyone helps each other for the team's success while being self-driven and taking significant personal responsibility.

You are an experienced computer user and have good proficiency in working with the Office suite.

Working hours/duration

Full-time substitute position primarily until the end of March. Start date is as soon as possible.
