The Economic Crime Authority prevents, detects, interrupts, investigates, and prosecutes economic crimes. Our 800 employees have various competencies and professional roles, such as prosecutors, police officers, economic crime investigators, administrators, and other specialists, all working together against economic crime. Workplace
At the Economic Crime Authority in Malmö, operations are conducted at two economic crime chambers and a police operational unit. We are now looking for an investigative analyst for the second economic crime chamber in Malmö.
Job Responsibilities
As an investigative analyst, you will participate in criminal investigations and work in teams where prosecutors, administrators, police officers, and other investigators with special expertise in areas such as auditing and forensics may be included. Your tasks will include:
- Processing and analyzing extensive amounts of information, primarily obtained from various sources in electronic form, in criminal investigations
- Structuring information and visualizing it to provide a picture of a crime setup, a criminal method, or a sequence of events, or parts thereof
- Preparing analysis memoranda on observations and conclusions in criminal investigations and, if applicable, testifying about these observations and conclusions in court
- Conducting other investigative measures as needed
- Contributing to knowledge dissemination, method development, and improved working methods in the organization
Requirements
We are looking for someone who has:
- A university degree in a relevant field for the organization or equivalent knowledge and experience acquired in another way
- Work experience from the last 5 years in structuring, processing, analyzing, and presenting large amounts of information
- Good computer skills and is a proficient user of the Microsoft Office suite
- Good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form
- Good knowledge of English
It is an advantage if you also have:
- Good knowledge and experience in operational analysis
- Good knowledge and experience in criminal investigations
- Knowledge and experience with Analyst’s Notebook
- Knowledge and experience with covert coercive measures
- Knowledge and experience in programming and database management
- Knowledge and experience in data communication in telecommunication networks and over the internet
