At our emergency department, we have a leadership that encourages, supports, and engages every employee in the work. With us, there are 22 medical secretaries and 5 administrators that you will work with. You help each other and collaborate with other professionals to meet our patients' needs.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

You will work with writing medical records via MedSpeech in Melior and registering in various systems such as Pasis and the patient registry system, among others. Furthermore, telephone service and mail handling are also included, as well as admissions and triage together with a nurse. In the emergency department, you work closely with other healthcare staff and with your medical secretary colleagues and administrators. Much of our work is not tied to specific individuals but to functions. This allows us to hand over ongoing work after our shifts, creating a good balance between work and private life.

The role of the medical secretary is changing, and Region Skåne is facing the implementation of the comprehensive digital platform Skånes Digitala Vårdsystem (SDV), which replaces several of today's medical record systems. We are open to the continued development that this entails and would like you to contribute your skills and qualities to the change process.

When you feel secure in your role as a medical secretary in the emergency department, you will participate in alarms in the emergency room. There is also the opportunity for development in the form of operational secretaries, where a medical secretary is part of an operational team consisting of an operationally responsible doctor, an operationally responsible nurse, and an operationally responsible secretary. The team's function is to be responsible for the operation of the emergency department during the shift. We have quota-based working hours, which means that when you work evenings and weekends, you have the opportunity for reduced weekly working hours with maintained salary.

This advertisement refers to day, evening, and weekend shifts. We work two and a half weekends over six weeks.

QUALIFICATIONS

We welcome you who have education in Health and Medical Care Administration 80 credits (KY) / 400 credits (YH) or equivalent medical secretary education. Furthermore, you have good knowledge of medical terminology and the Swedish language in both speech and writing. General good IT skills in a Windows environment are also required. We use the systems Melior, Medspeech, Patientliggaren, and Pasis and would like you to have knowledge of these systems. If you have training in disease classification, this is an advantage.
